Olive Oil Knowledge

A good book is always a great gift. We were very impressed by a book that describes the whole olive oil business in very interesting detail, and explains where the problems lie in a very accessible and entertaining way: “Extra Virginity: The Sublime and Scandalous World of Olive Oil” by Tom Mueller. This book is recommended to anyone who is interested in this wonderful product and wonders why olive oil is so much cheaper in the supermarket than from small suppliers such as il circolo, and what this price in the supermarket means for the many small farmers around the Mediterranean.
